This website is owned and maintained by the Committee of the Reading Amateur Regatta.

Visitors may download, copy, share, or reuse this content for non‑commercial purposes provided that the Reading Amateur Regatta is clearly credited as the source. Commercial use of any content requires prior written permission from the Regatta Committee.

The purpose of this statement is to explain to you what personal information we collect and how we may use it.

  • Competitor Information - The Reading Amateur Regatta collects competitors’ names, club names and other relevant entry information (e.g. gender, age). This information is required to organise and run the Regatta, as such this is a legitimate interest of the Regatta and of the sport of rowing.
  • Technical Data - Like almost all websites, our server automatically logs basic technical information when you visit our website (e.g. IP address, browser type, date/time stamp, page requested). This is a standard technical requirement for the website to function and for security purposes (e.g. preventing DDoS attack). Logs are automatically deleted after a set period and are never used for marketing or profiling.


4. How We Use Your Information

Information is used to:

  • Respond to enquiries (e.g. via email).
  • Manage, organise and run the Regatta events: The Reading Amateur Regatta publishes competitors’ names, club names, race draws, and results in paper format (e.g. Regatta programme booklets) and/or electronically on this website.

5. Photography & Media

Event photographs will be published on this website and on our social media channels (e.g. X, Instagram) for promotional and historical purposes. You may download and reuse these images for non‑commercial purposes with credit to the Reading Amateur Regatta.

The Regatta Draw & Results will be archived as so to maintain accurate historical records. The Regatta Archive remains permenantly accesible on this website. Website Server logs are automatically deleted after a set retention period.

In addtion you may request removal of any identifiable images of you from our website, please contact us and - after identificaiton - we will remove the photo as part of the regular website update cycle.
