    The Regatta Committee is pleased to publish the list of Events offered for the Reading Amateur Regatta on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June 2024.
    During two days of racing, a variety of events will ensure there is something for everyone, with the focus on elite racing on Saturday and a more relaxed shorter course on Sunday. New for 2024 are Octo events for J13 and J14 and a special category for Academic 8s and 4s. Please head to the Events page for all the information.

    Information about the Regatta

    Reading Amateur Regatta brings exciting rowing to the Thames in Reading. The format of racing will be a buoyed two lane course rowed downstream with starts from stake boats. On Saturday the race distance will be 1500 metres, whilst on Sunday this is reduced to 1000 metres.
    The Regatta is also a fun day out for spectators to watch the racing on a beautiful stretch of the river with plenty of space on the bank for picnics, chairs and gazebos. The Reading Amateur Regatta dates for 2024 are Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June.

    Rowing Events offered & Entry information

    The Regatta will be featuring a wide range of events. Entries must be submitted using the British Rowing Online Regatta Entry (BROE2) system.
    New for 2024 are Octo events for J13 and J14 and a special category for Academic 8s and 4s. Please head to the Events page for all the information you need for entering the Regatta.
    Every year the Regatta welcomes international crews - if you are considering an international trip, please contact us and we will provide help and advice..

    Rules for Competitors & Coxes

    The Reading Amateur Regatta Rules are shown on this page and Competitors & Coxes MUST familiarise themselves with the rules.
    The Regatta is held under British Rowing rules and conforms to the row safe guide, copies of which can be downloaded from: www.britishrowing.org.

    The Draw

    The Draw will be published on the Tuesday prior to the Regatta weekend. Subsequently the draw may be changed - please confirm your racing times on the day during registration.
