    • Information

    The Reading Amateur Regatta brings exciting rowing to the Thames in Reading. The dates for the 2026 Regatta are Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June.
    The racing format will be a buoyed two lane course rowed downstream with starts from stake boats. On Saturday the race distance will be 1500 metres, whilst on Sunday this is reduced to 1000 metres.
    The Regatta is also a fun day out for spectators to watch the racing on a beautiful stretch of the river with plenty of space on the bank for picnics, chairs and gazebos.

    Events & Entry Information

    The Regatta will be featuring a range of events for experienced rowers, younger junior rowers and masters. Every year the Regatta also welcomes international crews. Head to the Events Page for all entry information and the list of offered Events.

    Rules for Competitors

    The Regatta Rules, Navigation instructions and Safety information are shown on this page. Competitors & Coxes MUST familiarise themselves with the Rules and Navigation instructions, failure to observe the rules may result in disqualificaiton. The Regatta is held under British Rowing Rules and conforms to the Row Safe Guide .

    The Draw

    The Draw will be published on the Tuesday prior to the Regatta weekend. Subsequently the draw may be changed (any updates to the draw will be published on this site) but please confirm your racing times on the day during registration.

    The Regatta results will be published live on this website! After each race, the database is updated and results can be viewed in the results tables and draw diagrams.

    The Reading Amateur Regatta Results Archive holds Results and picture galaries going back many years! Recently the 1910 Regatta Results were added.
